Where the data comes from
Rankings are read from live search results at the moment of the check. Keyword volumes and cost-per-click come from Google Ads data. Backlinks come from a dedicated web crawl with history back to 2019. Authority scores and traffic figures are estimates derived from those inputs, and are labelled as estimates wherever they appear.
Fair use
Your plan sets how much data you can pull. Within it, use the data however your work requires — reports to clients, dashboards, spreadsheets, your own tooling.
- Export what you pull. It is your data to keep.
- Put it in client-facing reports, with or without our name on them.
- Call the API from your own systems using your project keys.
What is not allowed is reselling raw data as a data feed, or sharing keys outside your organisation so several parties draw on one plan. Both are metered against you and both will exhaust your budget rather than ours.
Accuracy
A ranking is a measurement of one results page, from one location, at one moment. Personalisation, testing and rollouts mean two checks can legitimately differ. Volumes are monthly averages over the previous twelve months. Treat trends as the signal and any single number as a sample.
