This policy explains what ranker.monster collects, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to the website, the app and the API.
1. What we collect
Account data. The email address you sign up with, a password hash, and the plan you are on. If you pay, our payment processor handles the card and we never see the number.
Project data. The domains, keywords, markets and competitors you enter, and the results we fetch for them. This is the substance of the service.
Usage data. Which tools you run and what each call cost against your plan, so metering is accurate and you can see where the budget went.
Technical data. IP address, browser and pages requested, kept in server logs. We do not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
2. How we use it
- To run the tools you ask for and store their results in your projects.
- To meter usage against your plan and bill it.
- To answer your support messages.
- To keep the service up: rate limiting, abuse prevention, debugging.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your project data to train models.
3. Who we share it with
Only the processors the service needs to function: our search-data provider (which receives the keywords and domains you query, never your account details), our payment processor, our email provider, and our hosting provider. Each processes data on our instructions and for no other purpose.
We disclose data to authorities only where a valid legal order requires it.
4. How long we keep it
Project data lives as long as the project does. Deleting a project removes its keywords, tracked positions and history. Closing your account removes your projects within 30 days. Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires. Server logs are kept for 90 days.
5. Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Passwords are hashed, never stored in the clear. API keys are scoped per project and can be revoked from your account at any time. Access to production data is limited to the people who operate the service.
6. Your choices and rights
You can export your project data at any time, correct your account details, or delete a project or your whole account. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to processing or to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Write to [email protected] and we will action it.
7. Where the data is processed
The service runs on servers in Canada. Our processors may handle data elsewhere; where that happens outside your jurisdiction it is covered by the processor's standard contractual terms.
8. Children
The service is for business use and is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
If this policy changes materially we will say so on this page and date it. Continuing to use the service after a change means the updated policy applies.
